A lovely cottage for two couples. The welcome was warm and the welcome pack very well received. The property was extremely clean and well equipt with everything you need for the kitchen, the living area(a large TV with Sky). The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of clothes space and two bathrooms one with walk in shower the other with a bath/shower. There is outside space to sit out in the form of a courtyard which is equipped with table and chairs. All in all a lovely place to stay our only feedback would be that the sofas are very low for anyone with mobility problems. We enjoyed our stay in the area it has some great places to visit and a terrific pub nearby the Cross Keys at Hamsterley the food there is exceptional.

Lovely cottage. Warm and cosy. Peaceful surroundings but close to so much. Hamsterley forest, Beamish, Durham and the coast to name a few. Such a wonderful break we were sad to leave. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely return. Thank you to Greame and Steph for a welcome break.

Amazing place to stay. The countryside and views are perfect. Accessible to some fantastic locations and an enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful views from the balcony, which has bifold doors to let the outside inside. Well furnished and little sign of wear and tear since we were here last year. Dog friendly. Peaceful location in the countryside. Shops a short drive away.

Located on a clean and organised working farm, within 25 minutes drive of Hamsterley Forrest, High Force Falls and many other local attractions. Major shopping area within 20 minutes of the cottage if you run out of stuff or find you need to remind yourself why you came to a cottage on the countryside. High level of quality equipment and owners are nearby if you need anything. Owners are good people and welcoming. Dogs welcome but there are sheep grazing nearby. Great west facing garden, which I expect would be lovely in the summer. The picture with the car in it shows the magnificent view from The Barn

Really enjoyed our stay here. It's nicely out if the way but very comfortable, well equipped and food for access to Weardale and Teesdale

Superb location and very well equipped. Lovely and warm underfloor heating! Perfect base for some weardale and teesdale walking.
